Heavy Rescue 33 was purchased used in 2001 from the Wichita Fire Department and the steel body was stripped, repaired and repainted by Dick's Auto Service in Rose Hill. Heavy Rescue 33 has a 10KW Onan generator and two hydraulic light towers. Each tower contains six 500 watt scene lights for a total of 6000 watts of lighting. It also carries an air cascade system containing four 6000psi bottles and a filling station for refilling SCBA bottles at the fire scene. Electric ventilation fans are also carried along with fire scene overhaul equipment. |
