Butler County Fire District # 3 applied for a $ 197,000.00 grant from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program
(AFGP) and was awarded a 2005 second round grant of $188,100.00 for the purchase of a new engine. This new vehicle will replace their 1st out engine which is approaching 20 years old.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security today announced the second round of the Fiscal Year 2005 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFGP) awarding grants to fire departments throughout the United States.
